Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, controlling, and compliance, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing financial records, budgets, and reports. They will also handle direct and indirect tax compliance, statutory audits, and transfer pricing analyses (with third-party support). Additionally, they will provide high-quality financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
The role involves coordinating/interacting with auditors and other stakeholders, managing relationships with third-party service providers, and providing guidance on financial/administrative topics to business teams. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities, and demonstrate a positive attitude while focusing on delivering results.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of day-to-day accounting on SAGE for the Believe Japan GK entity
- Prepare and review general ledger entries and balances, to understand trends and challenge anomalies
- Prepare and review and approve monthly Trial Balance, Balance Sheet & P&L's reports
- Finalisation and reporting of accounts on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Compliance with local GAAPs
- Assisting corporate office on need basis for global consolidation of accounts
- Coordinating/interaction and report building with auditors of respective entities for completion of limited reviews and year-end audit.
- Provide local Management with quality financial analysis for financial results and its implication in connection with the Regional Finance framework.
Requirements:
- Native level Japanese language proficiency and business-level English language proficiency required
- Finance-related degree holder, preferred
