Who we are looking for
- This role is a fantastic opportunity to join the talented and dynamic State Street Investment Management Intermediary Client Coverage Team in Japan.
- In this role, your key mission would be to develop and implement strategies to drive sales of locally domiciled State Street SPDR ETFs, offshore State Street SPDR ETFs and ITMs across our key Financial Intermediary client segments including Asset Managers, Online Broking Platforms, Regional Banks, Robo-Advisors, Traditional Brokers and IFAs. In this context you will be partnering with our local Marketing and Strategist teams to build relationships and provide investment solutions to our clients and prospects and raise assets.
- This role will sit within a team friendly environment where you would work collaboratively together to build a client focused, collaborative and dynamic sales culture.
- Leveraging your experience, you will be responsible for managing key client relationships and being well-versed in State Street Investment Management's culture and vision, investment philosophy and capabilities, service, and operational offerings in order to effectively communicate each in a compelling way to the marketplace. Collaboration is key and building strong relationships across the broader Client Coverage, Chief Business Office, legal, compliance and other internal teams is critical.

What you will be responsible for
As an Intermediary Relationship Manager, you will:
- Contribute to the expansion and growth of the State Street Investment Management Japan through the provision of our investment solutions to the intermediary client segment.
- Working with the Head of Intermediary and the broader team, you will be required to develop and execute strategies to drive new asset flows of locally domiciled ETFs, registered offshore ETFs (predominantly) and ITMs across key client groups within the Japanese Intermediary client segments.
- Identify and anticipate client requirements, expectations, and needs.
- Clearly communicate investment ideas and research to clients and prospects.
- Execute sales solutions campaigns and dynamically involve clients on major State Street Investment Management initiatives (seminars, events, surveys) while always promoting positive teamwork culture and in line with State Street Investment Management policies and local regulatory compliance.
- Leverage Salesforce. market and business intelligence to proactively to devise and implement an effective sale in line with prescribed activity target expectations.
- Build, develop and maintain a strong local market industry knowledge, including competitor business models, activities, etc.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ year experience in the asset management industry.
- Proficiency in both Japanese and English languages, and strong practical understanding of Japanese culture and business etiquette.
- Ability to build relationships and dialogue within an international organization.
- Ability to gather and analyze data with excellent attention to detail.
- An understanding of the various Intermediary market segments and the role of investment platforms in Japan.
- Computer proficient using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other IT applications.
- JSDA type 1 license. (Need to have JSDA type 1 license after joining the company)
