TEAM The Production Tooling team plays a key role in supporting the development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) at our company. We provide the test environments capabilities to simulate ADAS software and evaluate its performance using data from real-world drives, ground truth systems, and simulations.
Our mission is to deliver the test environment tools for mass production AD/ADAS software development that enable rapid, high-confidence development of features. This includes simulation integration, data pipelines, analysis tooling, and developer-facing web applications. We partner closely with ADAS developers, systems engineering, release, and infrastructure teams to provide intuitive workflows that support testing at scale and insight generation from real-world and simulated data.
We collaborate globally, working with simulation core teams, machine learning experts, ECU or Sensor suppliers and third-party partners to solve complex challenges in simulation fidelity, large-scale data processing, and automated validation.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are seeking a Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on delivering integrated simulation tools and workflow support that enable high-confidence testing and evaluation of ADAS systems.Your team will build a stable, reliable, and integrated simulation environment along with test automation tools to support ADAS app developers by: ・Design optimised simulation architecture for the evaluation purpose ・Integrate Core ADAS simulator with SUTs ・Monitoring of stable operation of simulator performance and maintenance ・Coordination with surrounding tools of synthetic simulation so that enable expand simulation test use cases
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and Grow the Team – Hire, mentor, and support a high-performing team focused on building integrated simulators and support workflows for ADAS development
- Deliver products on time - Understand development milestones, user requirements and make feasible development plans so that simulation environments are available according to schedule
- Develop and Maintain the simulation Framework – Provide stable and reliable simulation capability across all development phases
- Uplevel Engineering Practices – Drive improvements in modularity, observability, testability of critical developer workflows
- Collaborate Across Functions – Work closely with ADAS developers, simulation engineers, systems engineering, and infrastructure teams to align on requirements and ensure solutions integrate smoothly into the broader development ecosystem
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an engineering leadership role
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to align engineering direction with product and organizational goals
- Strong background with simulation systems and simulation testing
- Technical lead experience in developing and deploying ADAS synthetic simulators practically. Experience working on or integrating with simulation systems or building tools for simulation-based testing
- Working proficiency in English and Japanese
NICE TO HAVES
- Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust Python, with experience in simulation development or backend systems
- Proficiency with workflow automation, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with verification and validation (V&V) methodologies, including test strategy development, regression analysis, and requirements-driven testing
- Experience building developer-facing frameworks that support creating synthetic scenarios
- Familiarity with modern cloud-based development practices and services (e.g., AWS Lambda, Step Functions, container orchestration, or similar)
- Collaborative experience with globally distributed teams or external partners working on shared evaluation frameworks and KPIs
