The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of Rakuten's ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships.
Within TPD, the Cloud Platform Supervisory Department (CPSD) develops and manages Rakuten's state-of-the-art cloud platform, empowering global scalability and accelerating innovation across its diverse business units.
At BSS Development Department (BSDD), we are managing and evolving the Business Support Systems (BSS) platform, a critical backbone of Rakuten Mobile services.
The main functions that BSS provides are:
end-customer touchpoints (front-ends, mobile applications for onboarding and for plan management), billing and integration with the core systems of Rakuten Mobile.

PositionPosition Details
We are looking for a Technical Architect for Catalog & Order Management service with overall experience 8-10 years.
Catalog & Order Management Architect is responsible for E2E Ownership of Solution part of the BSS Transformation Program driving different Activities within Project from Catalog & Order Management Solution Aspects.
Participates in technical roadmap assessment projects, following engagement methodologies in place.
Provide expert technical consultancy, design leadership, and participate in developing level-of-effort estimations of solutions.
Contributes to the design and continued improvement of the product.
Provides hands-on troubleshooting and consulting for solution performance challenges or project delivery concerns if needed.
Recommends and evaluates new marketing technology products and service offerings.
Building HLD and technical solution design for BSS systems.
Develops technical deliverables in support of client solutions:
Data models
Context/Data flow diagrams
Infrastructure diagrams
Architectural and/or Interface diagrams
Defining scope and designing solution offerings; driving end-to-end technical solutions.
Analyses customer technology, define business requirements, and participate in risk analysis.
Serve as the point of contact for Catalog & Order Management solution and partners with business stakeholders, management, teams, and customers.
to identify needs and guide the delivery of cost-effective, high-performance solution.Develops technical deliverables in support of sales pursuits (i.e., detailed solution scope assumptions and pricing estimates for infrastructure, technical content for sales pitch).
Mandatory QualificationsTechnical skill:
‐ Proven ability to E2E Ownership of Solution part of the BSS Transformation Program driving different Activities within Project from Solution Aspects and participate in activities such as Solution Analysis, HLD/LLD Preparation, Solution and Integration Architecture Definition, User Acceptance Testing etc.
Experience in designing and driving end to end Solution for BSS Solutions including Full Stack BSS Components including Catalog & Order.
Conceptual understanding of the following protocols: JSON, XML, REST, Kafka.
Proficiency in developing technical presentations and proposals, perform customer presentations.
Experience working on Cloud Native and SaaS offerings.
Experience as an Architect in building solutions that are distributed, highly available and scalable, microservice-based architecture.
Experience in one or more open-source Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Quartz, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, BPM, etc.
Solution deployment experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).Proficient in the following database systems:
Document-oriented DB ex. Couchbase DB/MongoDB
RDBMS ex. MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle
NOSQL DB ex. Elasticsearch
Desired Qualifications
Experience building large scale web applications and designing efficient scalable enterprise software.
Sound technical knowledge and hands on experience in the following Java, Spring boot.
Knowledge in performance tuning of an enterprise application, across all tiers like infrastructure/web and DB.
Coordinates client services, and technical delivery/management teams regularly in the support of client enhancement or build projects.
Hands on experience in designing order fulfilment flow.
