Job purpose:
The role of the Data Governance Ambassador is to maximize the use of PR Japan data assets, provide recommendations as required to facilitate data quality optimization and lead other data initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a wide variety of hard and soft skills, join a strategic global program whilst working with data experts and cross-functional teams on advanced projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Overall Data Governance
- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to create PRJ Data Map (identify data sources, consumers, purposes, systems, data generated, flows etc.)
- Create and maintain documentation of E2E mapping and deep understanding of data flows and data ownership
- Support and relay Asia Master Data Management initiatives into Japan
- One or two specified Data Domains
- Create and maintain business metadata (e.g. ownership, business rules, legal constraints, ...) to promote data understanding.
- Ensure that data & KPIs are available and accessible to the right stakeholders.
- Launch initiatives to foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Enforce policies/procedures to promote data consistency and integrity across digital programs.
- Build/maintain consistent data quality monitoring.
- Communicate on issues found and drive synchronization to fix them.
- Can speak and write fluent professional English. Japanese would be a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in data transformation projects and programmes
- Can coordinate multiple stakeholders to define needs, batches and deliverables of your projects.
- Detail-oriented attitude / rigorous attitude for structured reporting based on large volume of data sources
- Has a logical, analytical & pragmatic mind.
