職務の内容
:
- 銀行やノンバンク、およびその発行債券の格付けを決定するための情報及びデータの分析
- 格付委員会に担当先の格付けのレコメンデーションを提示し、討議する
- 時限性を意識してタイムリーにプレス・リリース、個別企業レポート、業界関連のコメンタリを作成する
- 社外に格付根拠と格付手法をわかりやすくに説明する
- 格付先の業績の継続的なモニタリング(発行体の公表情報および個別に提供される非公表情報のレビュー、面談への参加を含む)
- 発行体・投資家との分析面に関する面談
- グローバルもしくはアジア・太平洋地域のセクター分析・会議体への貢献、関連レポートの作成
望ましいスキル:
- 学士。上級学位、CFAまたはCPAなどの資格があればなお可
- 金融業界での8年以上の関連経験、信用分析又は調査の経験者
- 金融市場やビジネス環境の理解、銀行およびノンバンクに関する規制の理解
- 財務諸表分析スキルと会計知識
- 優れた対人・コミュニケーション能力(社内外ともに日本語を使うことの方が多いです)
- 企業経営層に効果的なプレゼンテーションを行う能力
- グローバルで、多文化で、変化の速い環境で自律的に働くことができる、モチベーションの高いチームプレーヤー

Associate Director, Financial Institutions Ratings
The Team:
You will be part of a closely knit, and high-performance team (about 15 members in the Financial Institution Ratings Team)
The Impact:
You will provide key stakeholders with our value-added "credit story" on banks, NBFIs, and the financial sector as a whole through clear opinions and strong analysis.

- You will develop expertise in the analysis of financial institutions from the globally comparative perspective by covering a portfolio of banks and NBFIs.

Responsibilities
- Analyzing pertinent information and data necessary for determining ratings on banks/NBFIs and their debt issues
- Making recommendations and presenting to rating committees
- Drafting press releases, company-specific reports, and industry commentaries in a fast-paced environment with publication deadlines
- Effectively communicating to clients Standard & Poor's methodology and procedures
- Continuous monitoring of operating performance of rated companies, including reviews of public filings and private information supplied by issuers, and participation in client meetings
- Meeting with issuers and investors on analytical matters and assisting in resolving clients' analytical needs
- Contributing to Standard & Poor's global and regional analytical sectoral forums, and authoring related commentaries
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree, CFA charter holder or CPA is a plus
- Minimum eight years of relevant experience in financial industry, and credit analytical or research experience
- A good understanding of financial markets, business environments and relevant regulations – in particular, on the banking or non-bank financial sector
- Strong financial statement analysis skills and accounting knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (communication is mainly in Japanese with internal/external stakeholders)
- A demonstrated ability to give effective verbal presentations to senior executives
- A highly motivated team player who can work autonomously in a global, multi-cultural and fast pace environment
- Ability to undertake rigorous analytical work and be proficient at writing analytical reports (mainly for internal) in English
