PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATIONThis position is responsible for ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations as well as risk assessment on adidas global tax framework alongside with global tax team. This position will play a crucial role in timely and accurate tax return preparation and filing, reporting accurate tax provision forecast, managing audits of tax authorities and external auditors, while strategically minimizing tax liabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit timely tax returns, tax computations and tax estimates
- Prepare group tax reports quarterly and communicate with global tax team
- Manage transfer pricing related matters and work closely with Global Transfer Pricing team to prepare necessary documentation
- Assess impact of tax legislation changes, improve internal process and provide tax advice to stakeholders
- Participate and provide tax advice on various projects to manage and minimize potential tax liability risks
- Manage response to tax audit / investigation by tax authorities in accordance with local tax regulation as a first point of contact for other departments

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to identify and define problems, collect necessary data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions, determine and implement effective action plans

- Ability to multi-task and set priorities at a fast-paced environment

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in Taxation or relevant certification
- Proven work experience, years, as a tax manager at multi-national entities or professional consulting firms
- Solid knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and tax returns
- Fluent in Japanese and Business Level English
- Familarity with SAP, Power BI and other adidas and industry relevant Finance systems/analytical software is a major plus
