3 years of min. experience in Gearbox Design and min. 1 year experience in Project Engineering
Job Locations: Onsite – Japan (immediate requirement)
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop gearbox and transmission systems based on project requirements.
• Interpret and create manufacturing drawings in compliance with ASME drafting standards.
• Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in design and documentation.
• Coordinate and manage engineering tasks, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
• Support small-scale project planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Review and validate designs for manufacturability and performance.
• Assist in troubleshooting and improving existing gearbox systems. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design of gearboxes/transmissions.
• Strong ability to interpret manufacturing drawings based on ASME standards, with solid understanding of GD&T.
• Experience in task planning, coordination, and engineering workflow management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo).
• Effective English communication skills (written and verbal) are required. Preferred
Qualifications:
• Experience in aerospace product design is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in project planning and management, especially for small-scale engineering projects.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and assembly practices. Key Competencies:
