Field Services Engineer

Join Japan's growing semiconductor industry as a Field Service Engineer. Responsibilities Complete a structured 6-month paid training program covering equipment operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety practices. Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites. Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and system-related issues to minimize equipment downtime. Perform preventive maintenance and support emergency service activities. Document service activities, maintenance records, and technical reports. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution. Follow safety procedures and cleanroom standards while delivering high-quality customer support. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, field service or a related technical role. Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields. Business-level Japanese (JLPT N3+) and working-level English. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, and electrical schematics. Willingness to travel and work at customer sites. Experience with industrial equipment such as CNC machines, robotics, medical equipment, HVAC systems, semiconductor equipment, or similar machinery is a plus.
