Job Description
【Position Overview】 The Cloud Platform Supervisory Department (CPSD) develops and manages Rakuten’s state-of-the-art cloud platform, empowering global scalability and accelerating innovation across its diverse business units. To support one of the largest scale data processing and utilization platforms in Japan, we are looking for members who can help us improve the reliability, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our large-scale platform. 【Position Details】 ・ Design, development, and maintenance of Data Platform ・ Design, development, and maintenance of batch processing and streaming processing pipelines ・ Design of database schemas ・ Development and maintenance of DWH ・ Analysis and improvement plan proposals for Data Platform solutions 【Language Proficiency】 Japanese: Not required English: Business Level 【Coding Test】 Required 【Mandatory Requirements】 One or more of the following skills/knowledge: ・ Programming skills (Java, Python, Scala) ・ Knowledge of the project development lifecycle (Requirement definition, design, development, test, maintenance) ・ Knowledge of Linux ・ Understanding of databases and database languages (SQL, etc.) 【Desired Requirements】 ・ Experience with big data storage/processing solutions (Hadoop/Hive/Spark) ・ Basic knowledge of networking ・ Development experience on public clouds (e.g., Google Cloud) ・ Knowledge of DevOps ・ Experience in designing, building, operating, and optimizing Data Warehouses (DWH) ・ ETL development experience ・ Analysis experience with BI tools (DataStudio, Tableau, Domo, etc.) 【Main Services】 ・ Rakuten Group Services 【Work Location】 Rakuten Crimson House
