Remote (Japan-based) About the Opportunity We are seeking detail-oriented individuals based in Japan to help train the next generation of personal robotics through high-quality video demonstrations of everyday household tasks. You will use a UMI gripper wearable device, which mimics a robot's hand while allowing you to perform tasks naturally. Your recordings will serve as training data to help robots learn how to complete practical activities in real home environments. This opportunity is suited to individuals who are comfortable following detailed instructions, operating specialized recording equipment, performing repetitive hands-on tasks, and incorporating feedback to improve recording quality.

Key Responsibilities
• Record Household Task Demonstrations: Capture high-quality video demonstrations of everyday household activities using the UMI gripper wearable device.
• Follow Recording Specifications: Apply detailed, task-specific instructions to ensure every submission meets the required project standards.
• Operate Specialized Equipment: Set up and use the UMI gripper, VR headset, wearable hand-tracking gloves, and recording equipment to accurately capture real-world hand movements and task execution.
• Maintain Recording Quality: Ensure videos are clear, complete, and compliant with the specified recording requirements.
• Incorporate Reviewer Feedback: Review feedback from assigned reviewers and make iterative adjustments to improve the accuracy and quality of future recordings.

Requirements:
Maintain a consistent weekly workflow and complete the minimum required volume of approved video data.
• Manage Video Submissions: Upload completed recordings and ensure files are submitted successfully through the designated project process. Required Qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions and technical specifications precisely.
• Good manual dexterity and the ability to perform physical tasks accurately in different household settings.
• Comfort wearing, operating, and setting up specialized devices and video recording equipment.
• Ability to incorporate feedback and make continuous improvements to recording methods and submitted work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to respond constructively to reviewer feedback.
• Access to a fully equipped household environment in Japan, including a kitchen, living spaces, and common household items.
• Reliable access to stable, high-speed internet capable of uploading large video files.
• Comfort with prolonged VR headset use as part of the regular project workflow. Preferred Qualifications
• Genuine interest in personal robotics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies for home environments.
• Previous experience with data collection, usability studies, hands-on research projects, or similar activities.
• Patience with repetitive, precision-oriented tasks and the ability to maintain consistent quality.

• Compensation: Starts at $12/hour, with the opportunity to increase effective earnings to $21/hour through improved productivity while maintaining quality. Payment is based on completed video hours.
