Reports to: Japan CFO
Salary: 15–17M JPY range
Overview
A global consumer goods company is hiring a Financial Controller to lead its Japan finance function and support continued business growth. This role is positioned as a mid-to-long term successor to the CFO, offering strong exposure to leadership and strategic decision-making.

What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end finance operations including accounting, reporting, and financial controls.
- Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to drive business performance.
- Oversee and develop a finance team (approx. 5 members).
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and financial reporting accuracy.
- Support strategic initiatives and prepare for future transition into CFO responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong all-rounded finance leader with solid accounting foundation.
- Experience managing teams in a multinational or consumer/FMCG environment.
- Proven ability to operate as a business partner to senior leadership.
- Fully bilingual in Japanese and English.
- High-potential profile with capability to grow into CFO role.
